To mark the 2,575th anniversary of the birth of Confucius, the Nishan Teacher Appreciation Ceremony was held in Qufu on September 29. 2,575 primary, middle and high school students paid respects to their teachers in Nishan, the birthplace of Confucius.
On site, graduate representative Yao Haibin stated in his speech that in both work and life, the selfles dedication and earnest teachings of teachers and mentors have helped him grow.Young people should be diligent in learning, based ontheirpositions, and contribute more youth strength to the development of society.
Sun Mengya and Li Yuehongfrom Shandong,champions of 2024 Paris Olympics,were invited to participate in this ceremony to honor their teachers. They stated in an interview that every step of their growthwas inseparable from the hard work and selfless dedication of their teachers, and behind every medal liedthe teachers' hard work and sweat. Teachers not only taught them how to strive on the field, but also taught them how to be a good person, how to face difficulties and challenges.
